Biography | Dr. Vinoth Ramalingam is a Chancellor's Fellow in the School of Computing, Engineering and Technology, RGU. Prior to joining RGU, he held his independent Energy for Future (E4F) Fellowship (https://europeanenergyforfuture.com/foundation/calls/fellows) at the University of Strathclyde, UK. He won this prestigious fellowship jointly from the Iberdrola Espana Foundation and the European Commission under Horizon 2020 MSCA-COFUND Program. Before this fellowship, he was as a Postdoctoral Fellow at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST), Saudi Arabia. His research focused on next generation catalysts materials and renewable energy technologies for energy conversion applications. He has published around 30 peer-reviewed publications in high ranked international journals including the prestigious journals Advanced Materials, Advanced Energy Materials, ACS Nano, ACS Energy Letters, Nano Energy, Small-Wiley, etc. He holds two U.S. patents and received grants from industry and academia. His research group at RGU focus on the development of innovative catalyst materials, devices and testing for solar driven energy conversion applications for sustainable fuels and chemicals production. These includes green hydrogen production, carbon conversion to value added fuels and chemicals feedstock including sustainable aviation fuel, and nitrogen reduction to green ammonia synthesis. His research aims to support our future net-zero and green energy transition goals. |
